Well Daddy is gone and me and Mommy are holding down the fort!  Right after Daddy left I started getting two teeth; one on the top and one on the bottom.  Then I got sick!  I have a double ear infection, can you believe it!  Mommy never knew because I'm always so happy.  Now that I have medicine I'm feeling much better.  So much better that today I figured out how to use my walker!  Mommy kept trying to get a video of me to show everyone, but as soon as she started rolling I sat down.  I figure I might as well give her a hard time before she can really get me back, right?  Keep us in your prayers! Aloha!

It's Almost My Birthday!

Dear Family,

As you know, we live so very far away and I don't get to see you or hear as often as I'd like. My birthday wish, because I miss you all so much, would be for a recordable storybook with your voice and a picture of you.   Whenever I read this book, I can feel like you are right there with me.

Ten Months Old!

Too much fun!

Well, Sebby is 10 months old today! Seems like not so long ago we were bringing him home from the hospital.  He is crawling like crazy and he always follows me throughout the house.  He's like a little puppy at my ankles, haha.  The other day I was unloading groceries and he was in the kitchen "helping me," but when he heard that the TV was on, he left me and I found him standing at the coffee table watching Seinfeld! He's getting so big too.  He just started eating chopped veggies and fruit and drinking juice.  I believe he may be getting another tooth too!  I can't believe his first birthday is right around the corner! Yikes!

Daddy will be home soon, just in time for his birthday! He will only be in for a short time, then he's off for deployment!  Please keep him and his crew in your prayers!

Baby on the move

Guess who is crawling!  Our little baby boy is now a mobile baby boy and is very good at showing mommy all the places she didn't realize needed baby proofing!  He's also pulling himself up on anything he can get his hands on.

Most of you have heard about the tsunami scare we had on Thursday.  Hawaii didn't get too much damage except for the local fishing boats.  Some smaller towns on the coast had a bunch of sand and fish in the road afterward, but that's about it.  Thank you for all your concern!

Hey Mom! Look what I can do!

Sebby is 9 months old today!   We celebrated by getting a check up at the Doctor and getting a finger prick-not so fun...but he did better than some of the sailors getting their blood drawn, haha.  This week he figured out how to pull himself up in his crib!  Occasionally when he's supposed to be napping, we will here him falling around in his crib and laughing...so cute!  He is 21 lbs and 27 inches.  He isn't crawling, but we think he may just skip that step...who knows.  We went whale watching this week and it was his first boat ride out on the ocean.  I will try to put up some videos of that later (it's not working right now).    We are gearing up for daddy to be gone a long time; 6 or 7 months at the least.   If anyone would like to e-mail him while he is gone, please e-mail us at snlserrano@yahoo.com and I will send you his e-mail address and/or his mailing address.

I hope everyone is doing well!  Sebby is growing so fast; can you believe he's almost 9 months old?  He is such a good little boy.  He's not crawling yet (but I'm not complaining!).  He is discovering all the fun things he can do with his voice like yelling and saying "da da da" and "ba ba."  The other day, a friend's daughter was playing peek-a-boo with him and he was laughing and giggling so much!  He's had his two bottom teeth for awhile now and his top two teeth are coming in; only one of them has actually poked through.  Next week, Sebby and I will be starting a Mommy and Me class at one of the parks in military housing.  Enjoy the pictures! 8 month update

Eesh...seems like forever since I've updated!  Sorry!  Little Sebby isn't so little anymore!  He's a whopping 21 lbs and squirmier than ever!  He's growing so fast, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.  Well, as far as milestones go, he can sit up on his own but he just can't get himself there.  No crawling yet, although I know he's thinking about it.  He's eating solid foods 3 times a day and is working on getting his top two teeth. Check out some pictures and a video from the past month!
